Immediate task is to assist our sys admin in migrating an existing production site to a new server.

I'm looking for someone who has experience creating an OpenPublish Theme. The recommended method by OpenPublish is to create a sub-theme. The theme that I want to create for my site is rather sophisticated, and I can provide wireframes. Please only reply if you have experience working with OpenPublish Themes. Please provide some links and references to sites you have created the OpenPublish Themes for and also your rates.

Like it or not, 80% of a visitor's first impression is based on the way the site looks. Sites rate higher if they look good - even if the back end is a mess. I am looking for a super talented Drupal specialist who is very familiar with the Drupal backend, but who has chosen to specialize in theming and user interface rather than programming or data administration.

The successful candidate will serve as the senior team member for a large library system web site team in Columbia, SC.

As the manager of the web team, I believe my job is to advocate for the user by doing away with a lot of hoops we (libraries) make our users jump through, and by rethinking presentation of all sorts of information. Our team is doing some things that will be considered fairly radical in the library world. We aim to build a site so informative and entertaining that users in our county are inspired to check it FIRST. The basis of this approach is rooted in the belief that public libraries have a huge future as digital entities in addition to our brick and mortar locations. We are supported in that view by senior management.

There are three key elements to my plan:
1. Really solid programming. We are using some great Drupal firms for our build. If you get this job, you will be working with top notch talent and big names.

Job Description: Working with a startup company, with a primary mission of promoting education in all aspects. The main function of this role is to help develop the prototype software that will build the company's website infrastructure. Additionally, this position will work directly with the CTO and CEO.

Qualifications:

We have an opening for a full-time, senior-level Web and Drupal developer. There is no possibility of working remotely so candidate must reside in or close to downtown Milwaukee.

Responsibilities for this role include:

1. Working closely with the creative and strategy team to develop, launch, and maintain web-based initiatives
2. Providing effective solutions to support business goals and requirements
3. Establish core strategies for modular and efficient development
4. Mentoring existing development staff
5. Prioritizing and coordinating workflow
6. Establish web development standards and governance of content and storage

Required:

- Experience developing and theming websites on Drupal (including using Views, CCK, Webform, Content Templates, Node Reference, Imagecache, Context, etc.) and ability to modify modules
- Experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, AJAX, JQuery, and Javascript
- Experience with MySQL database configuration and management, LAMP, cron, backups, version control
- Ability to meet deadlines for multiple concurrent projects and creatively solve problems.
- Strong communication skills and ability to explain concepts to end users

Desired skills include:

- Experience with Drupal multi-sites, Drush, optimization methods
- Bash scripting
- Experience with other CMS/frameworks
