Deprecated - Performance and scalability

I have a problem where after I hit submit after updating something the page don't show what I updated and I have to hit the refresh button in the browser to see it. Sometimes others would say that they don't see the new info also and have to hit refresh. Is there a module out there somewhere that could fix this. I appreciate the help. JayDigga ; - )

Since a month or so my site has been having issues:
hosted on a shared hosting server we are getting 500 error pages daily! a couple of times a day even. They might dissapear after having refreshed the browser 4 times.

After asking my hosting company about it, i was told that at the exact moment that that certain page is experiencing problems, the server gets memory load of around 18mb, causing the problem.

i would like to refresh the main content area in my site without using the refresh action.. the main content area of my site contanis many news item that update every minute so this is the main reason for this..i tried to use the dynamicload module in the JStools but it is not working (i understood that it is only for links in blocks)...

We are running a high traffic site on Drupal 5.1 and the drupal session db query/updates are causing problems (DB size explosion).

Does anyone know how to:

1. disable drupal session DB updates
2. alternatives to fix db session problem
3. Any other ways to address this issue

We've been starting to experience a very slow site after the registered user # 4,000-and-something. Our site is currently on development.

Server error logs shows tons of these:

...with different IPs.

I want to create an access rule that prevents spammers from creating user names like:

_nWEBaeObc_

But how can I create an access rule that recognizes the underscore as an underscore, rather than as any single character?
