Module development and code questions

Before node creation, a "user" may preview the node (or before he submits his changes he may preview the node).

From the {module_name}_form function, how can I know that he's previewing the node ?

You will say that the node has not been populated yet (before the first submission), that is not enough info for me, unfortunately.

I have been looking for a module that would allow people to schedule meetings, something like what's here:
http://www.meetingwizard.com. Anyone know of one or something someone is working on?

i tried to install a module but it is depent on content. where can i get content from is it a module ?

I have installed the filefield module in cck to intecreate fileuploads in my nodes.
i have enabled pdf and doc filetypes. when i try to upload the files i get the message

Summary

I've got a problem where views that I've set up to provide pages as tabs based on pathauto aliases aren't showing up. My guess is that this is due to the use of the "canonnical" ("true"?) path of the page in determining the menus to be displayed instead of the alias.
