Module development and code questions

i have several blocks using the same value derived from arg() as parameter, calculated in each block. is there any way to calculate this value in template.php or in custom page module and pass to block as an extra parameter?

i am saritha. I am looking for fan related module. In my project i want to send a fan request to the user. When the user who accepted the "fan" must have an option ,when viewing their "fans" of upgrading that fan's status to "friend"

i need to have 2 states of 'buddy', state 1 = fan so rename buddy to fan
state 2 = after accepted the user can change the fan to 'friend'
so fan has a value and friend has another value
later i will need to do specific thing only to fans and other things only to friends

does anyone know of a way to add the time and date as a tag to a image uploaded by user.
Like this peolple could search for content uploaded at a certain time.

I am playing around with acidfree on this but I can't manage to insert the time as a tag...

Please, is there a way to add primary links items in the implementation of hook_menu of a module ? I'm working with drupal 4.7 and 5.1
My goal is to display some link items according to specific users. I've read that it's possible by modifying the theme, but I would like to put it in the module, so that I have not to change many theme files.

I want a user registration from having "2 profiles" say company details and indivisual details.In the user registration form there should be an option for the user to register as "company user" or "indivisual user" and depending on his selection he should be directed to the respective profile page.

Can anyone please help me out?
