Module development and code questions

Hi peeps,

I'm struggling to create a wizard style multipart form module for Drupal 5. The module is for job application. It should look like this:

Step 1 (fill some fields) -> Step 2 (fill some fields) -> (...) -> Step x (see all the data to verify) -> Final step (submit)

I would like to ask advise for the following.
In Drupal it is so that content that is made can be connected to a user.
I would like that a product-node is connected to a user (which is the case), but also all the process which is attached to the product. So when a product is bought by a customer the user which brought on the product will get paid.
So his paypal or other info should be in the profile and on checkout the order will be send to the user and his paypal needs to be paid to etc..also.

Guys, I''d like to create an image gallery having the behavior different from one of currently available modules.
Let''s suppose I have the following structure:

Is there a solution to limiting the user to only One user profile?

I followed the tutorials and other associated threads - I don't see this as an option of Drupal setting of some sort.

When user has the option to create content - User Profile - this option is Always available.
