Module development and code questions

I unloaded and installed this module. But, I can not see it. The CCK module is installed and working.

I would like the fields created with CCK to be displayed in a row, instead of a column:

i.e. this: field1 field2 field3

not this:

field1
field2
field3

I'm trying to get a block that contains the page authoring info to display when I am logged in AND when I am logged out. I can currently see it only when I am logged in.

I'm making a javascript apt, that would use the drupal user name as part of its functioning. Anyone know how I could get the name? I thought about making an AJAX like callback, but that always gives me a webpage (thats the short of it). I can hack this method working, I'm sure.

But, is there a real way of getting the user name? Is it possible to get it from the cookie?

I am looking for a block wich can show thee three last images uploads with a little text below.
Like the Menu_image, but I need it dinamic (he refresh himself with the three last images) and with a little text.
Does it exist?
It is for a young artists community in the States.
