Adding user types

Hi folks, I've searched around for how to add new types that are tied to the user but haven't come across an answer yet. BTW, if I should be posting this in another forum, please let me know.

Video and audio modules not displaying files to anyone but admin

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me why the latest video and audio modules do not display the files that have been uploaded to anyone but admin using a taxonomy block and taxonomy?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thankyou.

XML-RPC - Post Comment

Hi People,

I need to post comments in my drupal website from external calls. I have a desktop software that calls my drupal site, and throught this software i need to post comments.

They had spoken to me about blogAPI, but the blogAPI is only maked for post blog entry's, not comments.

I search for examples for how to use XML-RPC in Drupal, but i not found. Anyone have examples?

Thanks,

MC

Overgrown Book Outline

I have been running a drupal site for over a year and using the book outline feature extensively to create hiearchical navigation for successive issues of a magazine. It works well from a readers point of view and I love the book module HOWEVER I am now at 900 nodes and counting. New people are starting to become content creators and the book "outline" feature now presents 250 items or more. Other users easily get lost when attaching new content. The site is still on 4.6 but will upgrade to 5.1 soon

"Magic variable" that tells Drupal installation folder

Is there a "magic variable" or a function for Drupal that will tell you where the Drupal is installed?

For example, Drupal is installed in /home/myaccount/public_html/drupal/
Then a module file, which is in /home/myaccount/public_html/drupal/sites/all/modules/some_module/ will call the function or the "magic variable," and the variable or the function returns '/home/myaccount/public_html/drupal/'

Cross-Post: Drupal 5.1 + VotingAPI (+ Userreview) + Views => Top 10 List?

Hello everyone,

sorry for doubling content, this really is a cross-post of my entry in the VotingAPI's issue tracker. However, after researching more on the issue, I see that this is something which a lot of people seem to have trouble with and maybe it helps putting the question on a broader audience. You can find the original post here: http://drupal.org/node/142672

Ideally do reply not in the forum but here http://drupal.org/node/142672 in the issue tracker to keep conversation in one line! thank you!!!

Description

Hello everyone. I am not completely certain, maybe I am creating a duplicate entry here because I read something about incomplete Views support for Drupal 5.1 of VotingAPI - if so please do apologize if I do. But maybe some general explanations might be helpful to anybody really!

My problem is the following: I seem to have some problems understanding the Views integration of the VotingAPI and from the forum notes here and on other Drupal related sites, maybe some explanation might help.

Okay, this is my setup: Drupal 5.1 with VotingAPI, Views, CCK and Userreview. There is a CCK type called "ideas". Now users shall publish any good (or bad) idea they have on a particular topic. Using the Userreview module, I then want to have users vote and comment on these ideas.
