Module development and code questions

I'm creating a 'search' module that plugs into an external system and displaying the results in the standard drupal framework, which is all working when I use a static test query.

However I want to pass a query into it from a form, and I'm having trouble passing that in.

I can pass in:

http://www.mysite.com/dbsearch/queryterm

but I want to pass in:

http://www.mysite.com/dbsearch?query=queryterm

Just recently became public that Facebook, the popular socialnetworking thing just opened their API. Anyone developing services with Drupal could find an interaction with Facebook benefitial, potentially increasing the customer's, user's range over Facebook users too.

I was wondering if there maybe is a module that makes it possible to set rights to:
- Set content as published
- Set content as authored by someone else
I guess this should be possible to modify in the node module, just wondering if maybe someone has done it before.

How to allow users to edit a particular page?

I cant make my header longer.. See rajushrivastava.info, Banner is not adjusting in it, The size of the banner is 400 X 150. 400 is lenght, and 150 is width, Please tell me how will i adjust my banner?
