Module development and code questions

Please help me.. its about the 1st example in pro drupal.. i copied it all and did all the instructions but i get this error: "warning: Error parsing sites/all/modules/annotate/annotate.info on line 1 in C:\xampp\htdocs\proDrupal\includes\module.inc on line 195."

please how can i solve this.. thanks

I've seen that there are a number of digg-like modules and just as many vote-up/down modules. However, what I'm after is a combination of the two.

As I understand it, the digg modules only let people vote on off-site articles, but what I'd like to be able to do is vote on pieces written by users and also to vote on user-submitted off-site posts.

Is this possible with any of the current modules?

Hi all,

I have no coding experience but I do love to learn it so I started with converting the cpanel module to 5.1. After some tests it seems that all the menu's are available in 5.1 and the module is working. Of course I would like to give it back to the community the thing is, I do not have a CVS account (have no idea how to work with it yet). Since this was the first thing I did, I do not think that I can be of great help to people that have questions when the module is posted in the module section of Drupal.
