Module development and code questions

How can I count/display the number of profiles (members) into a page?

Like this:

"Currently we have X members"

Using PHP snippets or is there any other way?

I have a problem in search module...
Actually i created a html page for search, it have two dropdown and one textbox.

First dropdown it displays the project and second dropdown it displays the report types.

I want to search depend upon the selection of these dropdown....

And it should display in a page and it look like Google search..........

I am so confusing in this module............

Can anyone help me................

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask. But I'm looking for a module with which I can edit files online. So not just a file managing module, but I will have to be able to edit txt, html and php files online. Can anyone recommend me a module. I've searched them all, but none seem to be able to edit the files online :(

We have been asked by a company to see if a proprietary accounting software (ACCPAC by Sage) can be integrated with Drupal? Has anyone had a similar request or know the level of difficulty to doing this. Essentially, we will need to replicate the ACCPAC data and display into an ecommerce Drupal module?
