Small theme customization does too much

I am trying to do a very small pushbutton theme customization; namely - I want to override _form_element() function. So, I created a file pushbutton.theme (in themes/pushbutton directory) and have a pushbutton_form_element().

The customization does what I want (for now, for testing purposes, I only replaced `*' with `R' for required elements). However, the navigation menu now looks very different (I would say, ugly) - apparently it doesn't pick some styles.

Applying Styles per Block

Hi Guys

I would like to know if it is possible to apply a specific CSS id or class to a block. I know that it is possible for a module to "style" itself, but I want to apply a style to some of the default blocks (like the login block for example).

One suggestion I have is to have an additional field in admin->blocks->configure. This field should read:

Add the following id to block (leave emty to use default block id). [ ]

My questions are:

Mini-blog

I am toying with the idea of creating a 'hidden' Drupal site that is only viewable and accessible in full to a select group, but, and displays one specific public blog on an html page just like this:

http://i-am-bored.com/bored_link.cfm?link_id=15906

"Contact this user" in a post?

Hey,

Using Drupal CVS (which has built in contact forms for the users). Is there any way of having a "contact this user" link in the post?
i.e. which will print the correct url as

<a href="/user/uid#/contact">contact this user</a>

what code could replace uid# with the uid for the user which posted the message?

Cheers,

Alex

Convert "design template" to drupal

I am starting a project , but i can't find really lot of drupal themes, i am familiar with templating systeme, from other cms, like autotheme (postnuke), joomla, mambo.. a lot of nice gpl templates from joomla and mambo, postnuke, i try to convert them to work with drupal

i begin with joomla template (not gpl) see at www.immobiliermaroc.org (french)

and also a theme based on PVII template see here

http://annonces.yo.ma/ french also

How do I tweak the bits inbetween?

I'm using a modified version of the Lead template (which, I believe, uses PHPTemplate). My question is, where do I look to modify the space after a story (and before the next one)? I might, for instance, want to insert a dotted line after each story or reduce the blank space itself to make it smaller. Simiarly, would it be possible to alternate between two colours for each new post? (If the second question requires me to post a new thread then please ignore it)

Many thanks!
