displaying different CSS files per section

Hello there! I work for the EFF, and we're migrating eff.org into Drupal. Excitement!

I've had really good luck with all th docs on drupal.org so far, but I'm trying to figure out how to do a specific thing and I can't find any advice on the boards or anywhere.

smarty k2 theme problem

Hello. I just installed the Smarty Theme Engine, and then added the K2 Theme to my themes/ directory. It changes the theme and all, but now I cant see my menus at all. Whats wrong?
thanks!

different theme for IE?

Ok. I'm entirely new to this an an awful sot when it comes to coding.

I can't get things in a menu I'm using to appear properly in IE.

The menu box breaks out and I have separate CSS to get it moving in IE.

I've tried searching for the topic but can't seem to dig anything up.

Theme compatibility matrix?

Hi. Finding the right theme is quite a daunting task. This one does not work in firefox, that one not in explorer, and that over there, does not support secondary links or tinymce. Has anyone knowledge of some sort of "theme compatibility matrix" where one at a glance can spot the themes with the required features?

I'm thinking of a matrix, something like (sample, please ignore horrible formatting):

long logo: can put in block, or side by side with nav/content

I have a long logo icon: 123x200 and am using the "marvin" theme, which results in a lot of wasted space at the top of every page... without changing the icon, can I get some of the navigation, or content "in line" or next to the icon?

Should I do this by placing the icon in a side bar?

views module / theme development: teaser, author, title under parent category as list?

hi all, i am new to php and drupal but learning quickly and am in love with drupal. we are porting our site from a propietary cms to drupal.

we have a navigation section called "articles" that lists all nodes under that parent category. the problem is that th articles are listed in order they were imported. we want them listable by title alphabetically, or by author alphabetically, and also ideally with a sub-category of listings so thy can be viewed by category.
