Hi there... been working with sites for a while using mostly just HTML, PHP and MySQL... have really been getting to understand CSS a lot more in the last little while and am now playing a lot with Drupal 5.1.
Given my knowledge base to work from, I'm finding developing themes in 5.1 to be not so hard, but I'm looking to accelerate my learning process.
Ive been developing websites around Wordpress for a couple of years and know how to throw a theme together pretty well for Wordpress.
I hoped (nay prayed) that Drupal would be a similar system, but, sadly, its VERY different and I cannot seem to get my head around it?
I understand a little bit. For example at one point I thought I could use the views and blocks module to create my DIV areas but this seemed a bit wrong as it would put undue strain on my database (is this right?).
I heva some problems with my menu's , can't find the solution in the handbooks.
I'm obliged to unfold my menus to see the submenus . They don't open ???
Is theire something I didn't activiate ? In my primary links there are no problems but akll the others won't work properly ?
This is probably the most stupid question off the day , but it will sure help me a lot
Hi everyone, when working with blocks in the 'content' area I noticed that I cannot place a new block "above" the main content, even with a -10 weight.
I have read around the site and noticed that this is a small issue for a few other users, however I couldn't find a fix.
My question therefore is, how do I ad a new area to the theme just above the content area? I would like to call it "special" or "feature".
