Theme development

hI, i am using drupal 5.

I WOULD LIKE to design a front page for myself . I want different block showing on the different position.( search, tag, login in , etc..) Can anybody tell me how can I design this page ? how to put the block on the front page freely? guess I should get the code of the block to put where I want to ??

Hi , I'm new to drupal but finding it very nice to work with.

I'm hoping someone can help with a problem I have. I'm using the chameleon theme and would like to put some content in the header area, just to the right of the logo . Idealy I would like to add a flash file in the center then some text/links to the right hand side.

Any help with where/how the code should be placed would be very welcome.

After hundreds of "trial and error" rounds I ask if someone could tell me - is it possible to theme Category input form and how it can be done ? Thanks.

Hello there, Iv just started using Drupal and last night I got this error...

I get the following error when i try to change the colour themes in the garland theme. anyone know what it means and how to help?

Hi,

I've added a custom block via the admin section, and I am wondering if there is a way to then define a block-xxx.tpl.php file that will correspond to it.

In this case, I can look at the database and see an entry for, say, module "block" and delta 1 corresponding to the block I created. But if I add a file titled block-block-1.tpl.php it will not be included via the theme engine.

Is this type of customization even possible, or is the only way to do this by adding a custom module, and then defining a block-mymodule-xxx.tpl.php file for it?
