The Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) is the professional body for finance staff working in healthcare. For over 70 years it has provided independent support and guidance to its members and the wider healthcare community. Its role includes promoting the highest professional standards and innovation in financial management and governance; analyzing and responding to national policy; working alongside other organizations to develop shared approaches; and providing healthcare finance and business education and training.

Smoke Free Truckee Meadows is a group of organizations and individuals committed to ensuring smoke-free air in all indoor workplaces. The goal is to advocate for a change in smoking policy to protect the rights of employees in bars/casinos. Smoking is currently prohibited at workplaces in Nevada by law under the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act, yet bars and casinos are the exception. In the Truckee Meadows alone, that means 40,000 casino and bar employees are exposed to deadly secondhand smoke and vapor at work, while employees in every other workplace are protected.
