New Drupal powered website: www.zbz5.net

It's nothing big, it's just my personal webspace. But I've spend about two months worth of spare time making it, so i'd really like to hear what other drupal users think of it.

The main content of my site is my music and my php projects.

In the previous two months I've gone from really disliking coding for drupal, to not knowing why I bothered to code 1,8 content management systems on my own before trying Drupal seriously. At the end this resulted in the following:
- Theme that uses jsDOMenubar to generate dynamic menu from the drupal menu system.
- Filepublishing module: Upload files with ftp, publish them as a node with title and description, keep track of downloads.
- The filepublishing module allso feature a frontpage (as seen on my site) This is in the same module because I'm lazy..
- Cartoon aggregator module (this one might break some copyright regulations though :P ) : aggregates your favourite cartoons (can even bypass some deeplink protections, but I'm sure that's illegal).

So am I going to publish those modules and the theme?
I will publish them on my own website for sure, the code just needs a bit of beutification and to run for a couple of weeks.
But to publish here on Drupal.org? I don't know. I'm not sure If I'm up to the standard.

At last I'd like to say that I've really enjoyed the last two months of learning to work with Drupal, and I do

Announcing SlashIndia.Org

I have just got around to setting up SlashIndia, an India-focused news site with a slashdot style discussion forum.

The site structure and operation is similar to the popular site SlashDot, which also explains the nomenclature of the site. Also, the theme is Slash which is originally from SlashCode and has been ported to Drupal by Fredrik Jonsson.

Do let me know if anyone has any comments or any improvements to suggest.

Man? Woman? Polisman? Or Hogman? Who will you kiss this Hogmanay?

This is the press release for Hogmanay.net - which has moved to Drupal from being a static site. Drupal community don't need to create an account :-)

Happy New Year!

PRESS RELEASE: Man? Woman? Polisman? Or Hogman? Who will you kiss this Hogmanay?

The clock’s counting down to the year 2006 and at Hogmanay.net revellers are revving up for the New Year's celebrations.

Hogmanay.net, the Home of Hogmanay, has information about Hogmanay celebrations throughout Scotland, from the torchlight procession that opens the three day Edinburgh Hogmanay festivities on 29th December, through to the traditional Shetland Up Helly Aa on 31st January.

The site, run by Hogman (half hog, half man) and friends from around Scotland, since September 1998, celebrates this ancient annual festival with photos, multimedia, special features and video clips.

Events throughout Scotland

Although Hogmanay has more recently become synonymous with the 100,000 strong street parties in Edinburgh and Glasgow, the ancient festival of Hogmanay dates back to pagan times when folk burned fires in the depth of winter to ward off evil spirits. Hogmanay rituals like the Burning of the Clavie, the Comrie Flambeaux, the fireball swingers of Stonehaven, the Up Helly Aa and even the more recent Biggar bonfire have changed little in recent years.

Hogmanay.net also carries webcam feeds following the Winter Solstice event in the neolithic chambered cairn of Maeshowe in Orkney. Watch crazed Edinburgh and Lothians revellers throwing themselves into the icey Firth of Forth in the Loony Dook video clip and get into the spirit of the festival with the popular six minute Millennium Hogmanay video mix.

Just another drupal site

I don't dare to update to drupal 4.7 because it's not available in fantastico. LOL, yep, I didn't install this drupal from tar.gz, but from fantastico. But without fantastico, I probably never heard of drupal.

So I like this CMS, and decide to build a site for it. At first I got not a clue what kind of site, then slowly it mold into this. http://www.blogmyway.com
