I've recently completed my first two sites using Drupal. A site for my friend's law costs draftsmen business, and a site for another friend who is selling artwork for kids.
The first site is pretty straightforward using the blog module for the news section. I modified the existing Sky theme. I have installed the nodewords and Google Analytics modules in order to try and optimise the site for search engines, and monitor traffic.
This was our first Drupal Project for the company I work for. I was asked to build this site that would hold a online video contest. Many late nights and a few pizza's later... this is what we got. Let me know what you think. We are always looking ways to improve our work.
SteamedPenguin was powered by a couple of different blogging packages in the past but for the past few months I've been running Drupal and the experience has been a blast.
The theme is the very basic, but heavily documented, Zen theme. I am actually using the zen_classic sub-theme but am planning to change that when I have more time.
Some of the modules that I am using.
I manage images with image.module. This module has some serious mojo behind it. It also allows you to import images from a directory. Nifty.
I've been a user of xmlsitemap.module since it used to be gsitemap. It helps me let the holy and infallible GOOG know where it is being fallible so that the spiders doesn't hit so many 404's.
I use views.module in conjunction with custom_pagers.module to allow users to page from story to story or from image to image easily.
For a nicer visual impact I use authorship.module to display my full name on nodes. I think it might also help search engines find my name, not just my alias.
tagnsniff.com — Tag what you own, cds, dvds, clothes anything, arrange things online, tag where do u put them, in your bedroom, home, office etc..sniff for tags later whenever and wherever u r. Great simple idea of tagging of what you own and what u wish to own.
Share things with the community, just lunched today and i need feedback to improve.
A new website based on Drupal 5.2 launched with a view to gather all the "Technology" people of all fields, whether it is computer, automobiles, medical, etc.
