Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Real Quick Question - Delete "Dead" Story?

Stupid me deleted a user that had previously posted a couple of stories. Now the stories are "dead" and un-administratable, as in I can't get rid of them. Delete them at the database level? How?

Stylesheets not showing after install

The stylesheet for the admin is not loading. the php index file loads and i can log in etc but the stly is not showing so the page is just showing plain text.

Does anybody know a setting in apache or php or drupal that may cause this

I am running apache 1.3.29, on windows 2000 with php, 4.3.

I installed drupal. the first time i logged in and made an administrator account. the stylesheet work. then i am not sure if i made some adjustments to the php.ini file or apache config. but would like to know why this file is not loading.

taxonomy menu issue

Drupal 4.3.2, taxonomy menu 4.3.

Since it isn't clear if the taxonomy menu developer will be back around anytime soon (http://drupal.org/node/view/5659) I'd like to see if anyone else has an idea about why one taxonomy menu item is not working and shows a greyed out area where the nodes shoud be. It has what appears to be the same vocabularly, term structure as one right next to it.

I've tried several other taxonomy menu modules and this one seemed the most straight forward... or did in comparison until this one tid/nid issue came up.

I've been poking around in the database and in the term_node table I see the nid's and tid's below (Sounds like a demon spawn in a bad "angel" episode).

==========================
Menu just above the one that doesn't work has this link:

http://www.domain.org/bod/taxonomy_menu/1/9/11

and shows all the nodes associated with tid 11.

NID TID
38 11
28 11
42 11
33 11
41 11

but...the next menu item/link

http://www.domain.org/bod/taxonomy_menu/1/9/13

does not show its nodes (must be shy) associated with it, just a greyed out section. Even the refresh 'trick' doesn't seem to work anymore (yesterday it seemed repeatedly hitting refresh brought the shy little nids out of hiding. Not today. I work on 3-4 different systems through the day so it isn't a local cache issue.

menus.module 4.3.0 issue

I am having a problem installing the menus module. So I go to administer > configuration > modules > menus and click the install button. "It" says that "it" couldn't create the menus table and asks me very politely to try again. "Module Status" also says it's version 1.0.3. I also get this at the top:

Changing /admin path.

Hi All,

I recently installed Drupal on my site. Everything was going swimingly until I turned on clean urls. I discovered that my provider has a server level mod_rewrite rule that redirects /admin.* to an external host for the Ensim control panel they use.

I haven't found any way to override this in an .htaccess file. Irritating.

I'd really like to use clean urls and url aliasing. Does anyone know of a clever way around this short of changing all "admin" references to "xadmin" (or something?)
