How to create a Forum

Hi,
I have Drupal 4.4.0. I enabled the module Forum, and its block.
I went to "administer" + "taxonomy" and I created some topics...

What else I need to have a Forum on my site?

Please can someone describe me how to do this?... or can you tell me a good and clear manual to do this?...

making usernames more prominent

I would like to put usernames at the top of every comment, but not as part of the "links" array. how would you do that?

Can't Access Image Galleries?

hello all-

running drupal 4.5- everything looks and works good-
i have installed drupal before- this is a fresh install of 4.5.

problem is- image galleries don't seem to be accessible
to anonymous users-
although the individual images (nodes) are.

personal galleries is disabled- and i have the proper permissions
set i thought for users in image module settings.

i can see the image galleries if i am logged in as an authenticated user-
but not just browsing the site anonymously.

Forum Topics not shown

Hi,

I set up a Forum as posted in this forum:

administer - categories - add vocabulary
name:forum, types: forum topic, Hierarchy: Single

Then added Terms to this vocabulary, and
administer - settings - forum
Choose my created voc "forum".

Then when I choose "Post new Forum Topic" from the Naviation Link I can post. But the posting is not show in the Forum Listings. The Counter of the "Topic" row is "0" and beyond "-1 new".

Under administer - content the posting shows up as "forum topic".

Thanks for Your help!

Bye Klaus

Help Requested: Debugging a "blank page" problem

Installed Drupal 4.5, including most '4.5-ready' modules.

Am now experiencing regular (although not quite constant) blank pages. By blank page, I mean no menu, blocks, etc.,. Hitting refresh loads correct page.

Changing themes doesn't help, any user (including admin) is affected, and problem can appear anywhere (logout specifically).

Am running PHP 5 -- but was doing so with 4.4 also and (after disabling error reporting) did not experience this problem.

I *think* it's a problem with a particular module -- here's the question:

Can I put the username/password into the url?

Hmm this is a little tricky to explain if you arent familiar with the google search bar.
Basically it allows you to type in a google search directly from your toolbar. This thing has a
very nice feature which allows you to add search pages from different sites. As an example
if I put in a search string and then press "control E" it searches e-bay for me instead of google.

Anyway, I'd like to add my drupal site to the list of search engines I can choose, but I can't get
past the login part.
