Post installation

this is the test site for my site that i am working on. I need to set up a forum.

whenever i post a topic to the forum, however, i get -1 topics, and then the new topic doesn't show up where it's posted.

Any help?

I've set Drupal up and really like its functionality - I was after something where I could tweak user permissions to the nth degree, and this seems to have what I need.

However: most of what I'm posting is going to be URLs with comment. Every other blog and cms out there appears to have as standard a bookmarklet or right-click feature which:
1. pops up a new window
2. adds the url to a URL field (which is then automatically hyperlinked by the title of the post)
3. instantly lets you add your comment

is there any module to allow ranking of stories on the front page, or they are in any case displayed following publishing dates?

Is it possible to have taxonomy output occur in a list instead of teasers of the nodes? If I got to mysite.com/book I'd like to see a list of the nodes that match that taxonomy instead of a short excerpt from each one.

When posted Story's some of these storys are NOT beeing cut of with the 'read more' link. Ive set up 200 characters and enter some storys with around 1000 characters, some storyes get the read more link, others just dont, on the same categorye/node.. so its not in those settings

how could this be?
is this a bug?
how can i make every story get cutoff and have a read more link...

Hello!
I have installed Drupal on my site and I need some help. When I go to the templates section, this error appears at the top of the page:
warning: mkdir(files): Permission denied in /home/coco563/public_html/firefox/includes/file.inc on line 77.
What does it mean? I have CHMODed the file 'file.inc' and the entire includes directory along with each file to 777! Please help me!!
