Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Auth with AD and mult. OU's

I'm trying to set up an internal "TechWeb" for the school I work at using Drupal. Rather than having teachers and faculty create separate accounts for the site and the Windows network, I'd like to set up Drupal to authenticate against the Active Directory service and have a single username and password combination.

Blocks not shown

I am a freshly born Drupal user and so quite unexperienced. While configuring I am facing some problems with the blocks. To create a nicely structured menu I installed the taxonomy_context module. Of course I enabled the module first.
But when I check them under 'administer - blocks' to let the new blocks apear they do not show of at the side bars. Thats for all 'Context of' Blocks as for 'Book Navigation' Why? How do I make them appear?

Project module email

Under email options in a project's edit tab an address can be given to deliver a weekly digest to, but is there a way to have an email sent out to a user whenever an issue is assigned to them?

Language Swap

Hello.
I'm trying Drupal for the first time, and i immediately saw it seems really good, but now i need a little help for understanding if it's suitable for my needs.

How do I get "write to author" links to appear for the private message module?

I cannot get the private message "write to author" links to appear in my 4.6.2 install. Is this a bug? Or is there something that was not in the install docs that needs to be done to enable these links to occur?

Can't I use code in my site?

Trying to display some simple C code and Assembler code using create content-story using the code tags. When I view the page, parts of the code are missing, such as stdio.h (though include shows up) and of course, all my code formatting is gone.

Isn't there a way to show copied and pasted C code in story content?
Thx.
