Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

How do I restrict block access by role?

I have seen some discussion on this but I was wondering if there was a simple answer for the 4.6 release?

Forcing a re-indexing of all nodes (for search)

I all,

I currently have a website with over 500+ articles. Every new articles is put in the queue for indexing, an then poormanscron do the job of activating search indexing for this new node.

The problem is that 400+ articles have been imported from phpnuke and are not been indexed. Since theses are not new articles, they dont get send to the indexing queue.

Is there a way to ether force a full indexing of all nodes or ether add all articles in the indexing queue?

question from Drupal newbie: making polls visible to all authenticed usernames

posted 10.7.2005:

I have played around with permissions, created a poll with my non-admin username, and etc, and still cannot get a poll to be viewed by authenticated viewers. I also have an admin username, so do have access to permissions. I have also searched thru 'polls' on drupal.com, but see no definitive work-around.

If there is an 'example' site, or a post here that I missed I would appreciate a link.

This site was built over the summer but I have no way to know the exact Drupal version.

Main Drupal Site Feed

This may seem like a silly question, but where do I find the main site feed that Drupal is outputting? Not one for an individual taxonomy term, but one for everything the site is doing. Or even what is promoted to the front page.

thanks!

How to get navigation block back

Just first time installed and tried to configurate Drupal (4.6.3)
I felt better not to have Navigation block on the left side and
thru Admin switched off Naviagion.

Now the Navigation is not visible and I am neither able to
log off nor do any admnistration tasks.

Please advise, how to get back the Navigation block or
is there any other way for administarion?

I wonder if to remove the database and make new installation?

Problem with a "Register" link in a static page

I have a static web page where I have a "Register" link (a link pointing to http://www.afterdowningstreet.org/?q=user/register) that is part of some descriptive text.

The problem is, if a user is already logged in, and they click on the "Register" link on my static web page, they'll get an "Access Denied" error.

Is there anyway to display a "You're already logged in" message instead?
