Post installation

After searching and reading through several posts, I have done everything I can find right now to set up forums. I enabled the forum module. I set up several containers and forums, that I can access at ?q=forum, just as I would expect. I set up some taxonomy categories, linking them to "forum topic".

If I "create/forum topic" or "post new forum topic", it brings me to the create forum topic page. I enter a topic, select the category, but it doesn't show up on the forum page. The posts show up in the taxonomy, but not linked to the forum page.

I have installed the Swish-e module on my site (latest version of drupal and swish-e) and it's working great for indexing PDF and RTF files, but not for Word or Excel files.

I was able to install catdoc, though without root access so I used the prefix command which worked for the swish-e installation.

I install fresh copy of drupal. I create a stories but they are don't sort by date and time. How can I fix this?

Hello, I'm a newbie to this.
The owner of my webhotel/server helped me install Drupal
But how do I make a website with it? For me when I'm logged in it feels like I'm only configuring my own login account at my Drupal. I've clicked every thing possible in the nav menu, but still I can't get it right.
What I want is to create a website with photogalleries (it's a modeling agency)
Is there anyone who can help me?

I need to list my blog feed on My Yahoo but it needs me to specify the full path of the XML file.

I only know that my XML file is at http://www.macavitys.co.uk/?q=blog/feed/2. This URL works OK for other services.

What is the full name of the XML file and why does Yahoo need to know when others don't?

Drupal is for someone who either wants to create a blog or who has the technical skills to create a full fledge news site. I have requested support from the DRUPAL development team and have not gotten a response. That has been three weeks ago. I created a forum about how to go about creating these columns, although helpful, after applying these methods, nothing has worked.
