Post installation

Hi all,

I just installed Drupal 4.6.3, and I seem to have a bit of a problem: The taxonomy menu isn't showing up in the "Administrate" menu. It is enabled in modules, and I'm logged in as admin so I should be able to view it, but....it's not there. ...Any ideas most appreciated - cheers. :D

I've just switched to Drupal after a year with Mambo/Joomla and...wow. I feel like I've been given a fighter jet after a year with horse & cart.

The only minor problem I've having is that I can't seem to get Drupal to recognise my tinyMCE module. I'm following the instructions in the "install.txt" include in the Drupal tinyMCE module, but the following seems to be causing problems:

Load the database definition file (tinymce.mysql) using the
tool of your choice (e.g. phpmyadmin). For mysql and command line
access use:

mysql -u user -p drupal < tinymce.mysql

Replace 'user' with the MySQL username, and 'drupal' with the
database being used.

Whenever I enter this (with the appropriate user/DBs), phpMyAdmin comes back with the error message

"You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'mysql -u johnbayn -p drpl1" tinymce.mysql' at line 1

(username is johnbayn, db is drpl1)

If I try to upload the tinymce.mysql file, I get the following:

I have searched all over but I can't find anything. There is the members module but that doesn't really do what I want.

On this website, for example, (at http://drupal.org/?q=profile) users details are shown in nice blocks and in colums of two, how would I do this? Also, how would i go about prefixing each detail about the user with the name of that detail, e.g. Name: and Country: .

I dont understand how to use the paypal subscription module, the instruction was not clear

I installed and configured Paypal framework and subsccription module.

I created a paypal button, put it on the my site, and tested it.

The problem is the my site is not notified of any payment made, I used the variable "auto-notify" and set it to www.my_site.com/?q=paypal/ipn but my site has not been notified of any paypal process. Why?

Searching the forums it looks like this feature was in the pipeline for Drupal, and I wondered if it had been implemented yet. I have a podcast through Libsyn, and would like to display the feed on my Drupal site. But as it stands now, the podcast link is not displayed, so visitors have to click through to the Libsyn podcast page anyways.

Is there anyway to work around this?

I installed drupal and got it working just fine on this site: www.herringimages.com. The logo and the splash image via the mission statement were working fine. Today, I took a look at the site to add something and the splash image & logo were gone! Instead I just had the text "home" on the header bar and "Splash Image" for the image. Oddly enough, all the acid free stuff was displaying fine, and the logo block I made was displaying just fine. I messed around with the mission statement by changing the image accessed, changing to the direct location, and changing to another file. I downloaded the jpg, and re-uploaded it again, and magically, it appeared again. I don't really remember what I did.

But, I can not get the top logo to appear! It's frustrating. I've changed the reference image to another image in the root directory, deleted it off the server, re-uploaded it, renamed it, chosen a different picture, and tried to upload the picture through the upload form on the php theme setting. I've even tried to select a different custom theme that was working previously as well (but it's also not working). Nothing is working, I can't, for the life of me, get the logo to re-appear. This is really irritating me. I don't know what changed, and I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

First, why did the pictures disappear in the first place? I hit refresh so many times, it's not funny.
