Post installation

Have this nice long Survey form that needs to be replicated to 50 more surveys. Really would like to be able to copy the form and all it's fields into the new surveys. Must be a way to use the DB, no?

Any ideas?

Hi there, wondering the best way to share users across multiple drupal sites sharing a database.

But I want to share users but not their rights, hence a user who with rights xyz on site 1 should only have the default rights on site 2.

I have just started to evaluate Drupal and now I have come up with some questions. I hope someone can answer.

Dynamic content templates.
If I have a typical company site with basically news, products, about us sections. I would like to be able to build and choose template for each section. Under News editor can only create items based on News-Template and under Products only templates based on Product-Template.
Is this something I could do in Drupal, which modules should I look?

What is the purpose of the files folder? I am aware that one of its uses is to accommodate uploaded content from visitors, but if my site does not allow any postings or even upload of external content, can I then do without such as folder or at least have one with reduced privileges? May I assume that content uploaded by the administrator and designated authors has its own place, such as /images, /logos, /templates etc. and does not in principle make use of the /files folder?

Hi, do you known how to somehow simply make that to every story I will chose picture, which will be showed in teaser and it will work like link for read more?

Only one solution which I have in mind is that I will use module which will add to nodeapi one input for address of picture and in template make, that when this picture will be defined it will show and set this like link to full article.

Do you known some better and more elegant solution?
Some solution that I will be able also to upload images and easy find those which are already uploaded?

Hi all,

I used to use apache on port 80. I could see drupal site normaly on localhost, but from other computer in my home networks, no images was showed.

I then say apache to use the port 8080 for some reasons. I now cant see images from localhost...
