Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Logged in user only menu?

Using the menu module, how can I make menu items appear only when the user is logged in?

Permission Codes for User Registration?

Hi,

First of all, I'm pretty new to Drupal, but I must say I'm very, very impressed.

For my second site in a Drupal week, I'm creating a client extranet for a company. In the previous site we sent out usernames and passwords to all the customers and told them how to log in. There were quite a few problems with this.

What I'd like to do now is just send out permission codes and let the users choose their own name and password. The registration page would need to have a field to enter the code and only accept if the code was valid (checked against a formula or list).

Exporting recent content to an email autoresponder

I would like to be able to include a list of my latest front-page posts in an email autoresponder for my site. I've seen some modules that assist in importing content from mail and performing a mass mailing, but haven't seen a module that would allow you to create a dynamic autoresponder based on recent published content.

I may have missed something in the modules list and I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction. If no such feature exists, I guess I better get to coding! ;)

Access Control Problems --- Please Help

For some reason, when a user signs in, and looks at a thread in the forums, they can edit the first person's post. I have tried many things on the access controls, and am about to give up. I made an excell sheet to show what I have for my 'access controls'. Please read them.

Tease me

As a brand new user I'm a little confused about teasers... What I want to see on my main content page is a short blurb with a "read more" link that takes you to the full article. I presume that's what a teaser is. The handbook instructs on the use of a 'break' comment between the teaser and the rest article but that doesn't work on my site. I've read some of the threads about changes in how drupal works with teasers and it only left me more confused.

PHP snippet for alpha list of node titles

I'd like to display an alphabetical list of node titles. I've got a couple of php snippets that do a great job of listing node titles and linking to the full text, but I can't see how to cause them to output an alphabetized list. Can anyone help?
