Post installation

I'm new to drupal and I'm trying to set up a internal discussion site for my company based on drupal. We've got the luxory of our own mini-google :). I like to add a search field to drupal which uses this mini-google to search this and other knowledge bases inside our network.
Is there already a google search function in drupal, which I can modify or is it easy to extent the current search function to use google?

i found this snippet when i was looking for adding "previous" and "next" links to my image nodes.

the code here makes all i want from the snippet but the problem i have is that; i want to use image links for the next and previous buttons. but i dont have the php knowledge... reffering the code above how can i use image links exept links like "Next>>"

I've manage to integrate Drupal 4.6 and Gallery2 together, however, the Gallery navigation is too obstrusive when the image is shown full-view. Here are the questions:

1) How do I remove the Gallery Navigation when the image is in full-view? I have a feeling it has something to do with the "Page Visibility Settings" and wildcards but I can't seem to make it work.

Hello, my problem is,
When i turn on user pictures in settings and in themes for some of the node types like forum and story its ok
but when i dont need user avatar or user picture in poll node type, I have this: files/pictures/picture-1.gif
how to remove this file path ?

New user here, but have searched docs and forums for the last 2 hours and still can't find the answer to this. In the administer>menus section, there is no option to disable create content...just enable and reset are available options. There is no need for visitors to see this option since I only allow admins to post content. However, logged in as admin or not logged in at all, "create content" comes up in the menu. I either want to make it come up only when an admin is logged in (like the "administer" link) or not come up at all and just point the browser to the node/add URL directly.

I'm looking to add a 3rd menu to my site (created by a 3rd book), but this time have it at the bottom of the page and implemented on certain pages by way of a flexiblock. The menu wants to be in the format of:

page1 - page2 - page3 - page4 - page5 - page6 etc...

How would i achieve this? Can i restyle individual book menus?
