Post installation

Hello!
Im totally new to drupal and Im not sure if there is something wrong with my forum or just a wrong setting.

I activated my forum and add several forums, but when I post a new topic, forums can not be chosen! New topic still can be posted but not cantained in any of the forums I created. Can any one please tell me what's wrong? Thank you!

my web host is limited to 2MB file size with direct transfer, but unlimited with FTP. Therefore, I was wondering is there a way to attach files that are bigger then 2MB by using an alternative method?

FTP is not a good choice because admin needs to create accounts for every users.. this can be very manual intensive labor.

can someon one help resolve this problem?

I'm building a Portal site, My clients are asking for a search (cross domain)facility such that when the user search for a word it should search in all my domains (like google but the domains are limited). Is it possible with Drupal? Is there any Built-in module OR i have to build my own module? though i build my own, is it possible with it? i'm not getting any approach ?

I am trying to figure this out. I do not want to use the recent comments block, I already know about that. I want to display recent comments the same way that recent posts display (tracker). Any ideas?

Recently i have installed drupal.
Everything is fine and running. The main issue is I have updated Primary link & Secondary Links [unknowingly with a spell mistake] now i do not see an option to edit those links.

Please some one help me in this regard. I have tried my best but couldn't figure that option in settings. I even checked PhpMyAdmin to edit there but no use.

I have been searching around a bit here and I am even more confused than before.
I have enabled user pictures and I can see it in my account. So far so good, but I don't see the user picture when I post in the forum.
Also I do not want the user picture to show up anywhere else but the Forum (no story, page, book or any content but a forum post).
I would be very happy if someone could enlighten me how to enable avatars, what modules are required (e.g. do I need profile.module that I keep reading about) and how to make sure it only shows up in the forum.
