Image Module shows new images on the homepage

I have recently installed the img_assist and Image modules to put images into my articles. Everything is looking great, except all newly uploaded images are put on the homepage, This is a problem since they do not make much sense going there. I was wondering if there was a way to disable this function? anyone have any suggestions?

CSS - is it true - child syntax selectors don't work in IE?

I am working on some detailed theming ...

I have noticed that child container selector syntax doesn't work in IE but it does in Firefox.

Can anyone confirm this and provide a link to a documentation source for what CSS does and/or does not work in IE?

[ the following statements represent four different ways to access the page content title text ]

/* appears to work in both IE and Firefox
(selector - descendant syntax)
div.#main h2.#title
{
}

div.main-content h2.content-title
{
}

excerpt module failure?

having installed the excerpt module, no excerpt box appears on any nodes.

I checked in admin/content/configure for the various node types and none of them had an option of excerpt under default workflow, which the instal.txt file suggests ought to be present

is there any other reason why the module may not be working? any other checks?

thx!

Ecommerce Images not working

I have ecomm and the images module installed but the images are not showing up.

<div class="content"><a href="/?q=node/3"><span class="image thumbnail"><img src="http://drupal.nerfshot.com/files/images/droid_maker_1.thumbnail.jpg" width="91" height="100" alt="Droids" title="Droids" /></span>

I'm pretty sure the error is a CSS error as I see that the path is correct and the file is infact there. However, being very new to Drupal I am not sure where to look to edit and fix this issue.
