Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Activemenu not working for book navigation?

Maybe I am just reading this wrong. I installed the JStools module, and while the activemenu works great for the default user menu, it doesn't seem to work at all for other menus (I was really hoping it might for the book navigation block...). Is this its default behavior or am I doing something wrong?

Using Drupal 4.7.

User module - privilege escalation issue

I intended to have some other person managing users accounts, for that, I created a "users manager" role and allowed it to access the user's profiles.

The problem is that accessing that module permits the "users manager" to grant herself access to every other module in the site, meaning she gets to be an admin and mess the site in like 4 clicks :s

Did I miss something or should I forget about handing the task to someone else?

Thanks in advance.

Recommended articles in front page?

Hi,
I have a drupal site running since about a month, I am using the front_page module to have different initial pages for registered and non-registered viewers.

I made some dirty hacking to have the titles of the most recent articles showing in the registered users' front page, but I would also need to have a selection of older articles made "stickies" in there too.

How can I do that?
I looked at the php code snippets on drupal's site, but it's kinda confusing and what I tried did not work.

Thanks in advance.

Problem with 'forum topic' content type

I'm using Drupal 4.6, phptemplate with the Kubrick theme.
Extra modules installed are:
flatforum module
quote module
bbcode module

When I am logged in as the main account, I go to the page where I can edit the forum topic content type (administer->content->configure the correct content type). One of the options is the "Default Comment Setting". I set this to "Read/Write" as you would want your users to be able to post and others to reply to it. That's the point of a forum, right?

help by a forum display query

I would like to approach something similar to the "Latest discussions" section display below the normal forums just like on the minibb forums. Drupals default forum blocks laks of information for me and i think it's nice to have such an overview of latest/active discussions with out browsing through every single forum. it would be a great addition to drupals forum system and i think that a lot of users would appreciate. especialy all those how would like to see drupals forums display more like other well known forum systems. i could imagine this being implemented in the flatforum module that has the approach to bring drupals forums to display more like other forum systems out there. something similar can allthough be seen at http://kerneltrap.org/.

I think with drupals default forums page and an additional costumised block in the content section of the forum page, that displays the active/latest forum topics in a way like a normal forum in drupal or like in the minibb forums index would be a great atvantage.

so i'm not in to the necessary sql querys to make this happen. can anybody help? i would be willing to build the html output if anybody could produce and sore the information in to varables for me. this snipped maybe some kind of starting point but it's not working in my drupal 4.7rc3 and it's kinda to complex for me at the moment.

Trouble getting TinyMCE to work

Trying out the new Drupal 4.7 release and I am having trouble getting TINYMCE to work. I am using CPanel as the only means of install and I do not have shell access.

After installing the module, activating it, setting up the profile, enabling all the features (icons of the editor), they do not all appear on text fields. Also, the ability to resize (height) the text field goes away when TinyMCE is enabled (with or without rich text enabled).

Any thoughts? This is a must have feature for my plans as my users are not HTML savvy.
