I'm having a couple of problems with theming acidfree 4.7.0. It is probably my shaky understanding of theming that's at fault here, but any help is appreciated.
PROBLEM 1
I'm trying to remove the hard coded style information in acidfree's album display so that I can theme it more effectively using css.
I have information that I want to import into my site using a CCK content type. I'd like to include (associate) an image with the content, along with access to a slide show of images in an image gallery. I can create a link to an image using CCK's node reference, but I'd like for the image to be displayed within the CCK node. Is it possible to display an image within a CCK node?
In the past months I have converted an old site from a postnuke install to Drupal 4.6 and then upgraded to 4.7. During the upgrade I ran into several SQL errors where I had to put some nodes starting at 10000 and some starting at 15000 because of SQL conflicts always saying this node already exists here and would stop the entire query.
Perhaps this was not the best solution, but I am not really a coder and this was the only workaround I was able to think of.
This is about another thing I consider rather basic since all other forum software do it. I would like a user to be redirected to the post he just wrote after its submission, instead of back to the original (topic starter) post.
Related to that I would like links on forum topic list to lead to the new topics if there are any or last post, instead of the first original topic starter post.
So, I just got my first semi-professional web design job (it's mostly just been for friends up to this point) and I want to use DRUPAL, of course, 'cause it's such a friggin' awesome dynamic platform.
But this fella wants the site to look *really* nice / professional / etc. So, I'm sweating a little. [I don't think he'd be too happy with bluemarine :-) ] He kinda wants to go with one of these prepaid template kind of deals to keep costs down, and he's trying to attract sponsors / investors ... so it needs to look really professional.
I've encountered something that looks like a permissions issue that I'm not sure of how to fix.
Users will create a new article and upload a file having that file be the only content of the article. After they do this, they publish it and all is good for anyone who logs in.
The problem is for those who don't log in can't view the article. They can't view it as in, a link to the node isn't even available, instead plain old text is.
For example:
City Council Agenda - May 2006. is a link to a node with a pdf attachment.
