Post installation

Hello All,

Been searching the site for information on how to change the start node for Drupal 4.7. I have Gallery2 embedded mostly successfully (Re-write URLs isn't working), and I want the main gallery page to be the primary start page when users visit the site. I'm sure it's deceptively easy, but it's the deceptive part that's getting me ;).

I'm sorry for the stupid questions, but I need to change the default 2m file size upload limit to 5m and I would also like to use the Music Player Slim instead of the default.

I've looked at the audio.module and the getID3 file and know it's in there somewhere, but can't seem to find it. I'm not a programmer, but am trying to learn so If I could please ask two simple questions, and please add file names and line numbers if you can :-)

1. How can I change the 2m limit to 5m or so? Which file - a line number would be nice.

I've manually created a CCK content type (don't know how to do it via a module yet, unfortunately). How do I alter data, or insert extra data as the content is being saved?

Specifically, I want to grab the node's taxonomy data, and save it also within the node itself, so it can be easily accessed by the Views module.

I'd be extremely grateful for help from anyone!

I think I've probably done something silly somewhere, but I can't figure out what, and would really appreciate some help.

The site is http://www.red-business.co.uk. I'm running 4.7.2, with CCK, Contemplate, Category (and all contrib sub modules), Path, Pathauto, and other modules that I don't think are relevant. It's in a multisite environment.

I'm finding that strange things are being added onto the links generated for the node titles when they are displayed in teaser view. Here's an example:

Link should be:
http://www.red-business.co.uk/red_business_volume_3_issue_08

But it actually is:
http://www.red-business.co.uk/red_business_volume_3_issue_08%22+rel%3D%2...

When I check what the alias is in Admin>URL aliases, they are all displayed correctly.

I've tried disabling Path, Category Pathauto, and Pathauto - with no luck. I tried disabling the overall drupal clean URLs, but then the links end up like this:
http://www.red-business.co.uk/?q=%3Fq%3Dred_business_volume_3_issue_08%2...

I've searched the forums, checked all the issue queues for modules that may be connected with this, but have found nothing.

Please would somebody more experienced point out what I've done wrong?

Is there a way to create (import) multiple user accounts in drupal from a database of names/email addresses that is already in existance?

are there any specific database formats that are more drupal friendly?

I am using drupal 4.6.
