Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

drupal blogapi and digg

I can't get digg blog this feature to work with drupal. I've tried all combinations of settings but it won't work. Anyone have any luck with this? The only advice out there that I have seen is to use the wordpress option. I tried that, no luck.

redirect logged - $user variable @ login_destination.module

I’d like to redirect logged user to a specific page, whereas this page is derived from the user properties. Searching the net and Drupal archive, it looks like my solution could lie within login_destination.module.

I tried to define global $user; though it seems that the object is null.

To make along story short, any idea how to use the global $user variable at login_destination_get_destination() function of login_destination.module or alternative of getting user’s properties (such as: $user->name, etc.)

alternate Theme for certain URLs ??

Howdy! I've got a Drupal 4.7.2 install, using a very very highly modified box_grey theme. I wanted to know if it's possible to setup alternate themes, based on the URL path. For example, I'd like a much more slimmed down version of my theme, with minimal blocks, header, etc... when users navigate to site.domain.com/gallery/ URL.

This way, I can create a similar but stripped down theme.

Flexinode Ready For Drupal 4.7.2?

It's hard to tell if flexinode is ready for Drupal 4.7.2 or not. On the one hand, it has a lengthy list of
bugs. On the other hand, I downloaded the latest CVS snapshot:
http://ftp.osuosl.org/pub/drupal/files/projects/flexinode-cvs.tar.gz

And it seems to basically work ok.

But, after only a bit of use, I find that dropdown menus don't provide me with any way to fill them in and I get this error in my logs:

Including protected files

I'm trying to convert my current admin site over into my drupal install. I don't have time to recode everything, so I am trying to include the perl files. Currently the perl files are behind a .htaccess unix authentication. I want them accessible through drupal without the users also having to enter another login, but I need the files secure. I'm sure there is a way to do it, but I am missing it.

Currently, if I put the files in a non-browsable directory I can't include them. I'm using this code:
