Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

Help with completely disabling comments...

When I add content, I want to have the entire content present (which I fixed by telling Drupal to allow unlimited words per page/story). I also want to disable the "comment" and "read more" links. My goal is to never have content that requires such a link. Is this possible?

What I've tried:
admin>comment>configure>viewing options>comment controls - do not display.

admin>comment>configure>posting settings>

administer > settings > content types > page content type > default comment setting disabled

Expanded Menu Option Not Working

I am having trouble with the "Expanded" checkbox on menus. I have it set up almost exactly how I want it, but the menu is only expanded when I click on it rather than all the time. Am I missing something, or is there no way to have a menu expaneded at all times?

Third-Party Vendors within E-commerce

Was wondering if anyone had any thoughts about adding third-party vendor support to Drupal's E-commerce module?

Example: Running a brokerage site, where vendors sign up and can post their products for sale, and a commission is paid to the site for each sale they make.

So, each vendor would need their own sales portal, with account information, sales information, pending vendor payments, etc. Customers could browse either entire stores or select a vendor and peruse only their items.

Add Menu Item /edit/$userid ?

I would like to add a menu that goes to the logged in users account edit page. However, I don't see how to add the appropriate path to achieve this. Any help appreciated. Thanks, Ivan

Quote module: quoted author name appears outside quote box?

Hi,

This is a minor styling question regarding the quote module which integrates with forums - http://drupal.org/project/quote

Does anyone know what to edit to the original author name appearing outside of the styled quote box which has the quoted text in it? Like phpbb i want "name wrote:" to nest ontop of the box with the quoted text in it as that makes more sense.

Thanks for any help!

Error with audio playlist!

Hi, guys,

Here's my site: http://www.meetuon.com

To make a long story short, I had to reload my site's backup because of an error I made re-assigning user id1 to myself.

I previously had some audio and video uploaded to the site, using the audio and video modules (and the Listening Station module).

However, after I got the back-up of my entire site back up, it's like all the audio, video and listening station info was gone ... except for the names of the artists, songs, albums etc. But the actual a/v content, and drop-down menu options for the Station, were erased! ... or were they?

Here is the error message displayed in my log regarding this:

What gives?

P.S. I'm still having problems making nav bar links/pages (eg. Home, About Our Site, etc.) and other pages I want to create on the fly, etc. Also, how do I automatically/dynamically group user's info they enter in their profiles (eg. if I ask them their home URL, it automatically gets added to a page I'd call 'User Websites', if ya catch my drift.) Any quotable, notable forum threads in there that can make it understandable to a n00b like me?
