Post installation

How can i create lets say a help or links page, without it being a content with the name of the poster and date at the top. I want it to be just like the help page on other sites.

i have been trying to install tinymce into a fresh install of drupal 4.7.3 with no success. i think i am doing it right as i have put the tinymce drupal module(4.7) into modules/tinymce and i then down loaded the latest tinymce engine(2.0.6.1) and put in the modules/tinymce/tinymce as instructed. at the modules section i see the tinymce module and check it to activate it and i then go to settings>tinymce and i get this error message on the tinymce page

Hey people, I'm trying to create an website portal to my neighbourhood. But i don't have any idea how to customize it to show as I want.
Here goes the things I wanna do:
I want that normal users only see this links on the left menu:

Information Statis - Will link to a static page
Forum - Open forum, would work something like an phpbb
Gallery - Where I would inset pictures and maybe videos
2nd static Page
3rd Static Page
News
Page that will contais articles (would work something like another news)
Links (static)

I backed up my db and restored it on a new server running 4.7.3 (the old one was 4.7.2).

Everything was fine except my homepage only shows the mission statement. If I have a story I flag to be promoted to the homepage, it doesn't show.

Any ideas?

hey all-

I'm just not getting it but, but i updated to 4.7.3 and installed the inline module for 4.7. When I try to add an image like this [inline:1] first i a get a picture not found message, and then when I click submit, only the file name appears.

I checked the input types and added the inline filter.
The module is installed.

so what did I miss??

I accidentally hit the 'Reset to Defaults' button under settings, which reset all of my settings. I do have a backup of my database, but it's a week old and I have created some content since then so I don't want to just upload the entire back-up.

So my question is, how can I find the settings within the database so I can restore them without changing everything else?

And let me know if I am way off-base since I don't completely know what I am doing.
