would it be posible somehow to make the gmap location map (where users click on the map to pin point their location) compulsory when they register? How can this be done? has anyone done it? i assume it would be possible as you can set certain profile fields to required. Though can this be done with gmap module bit? Please help!
I don't want to change any of the fields or formats, I just want to define a new node type so I can set different permissions and categories for it. Can this be done without loading the CCK module? I'm using 4.7.3.
My client uploads a lot of images to files and files/images -- both with img_assist and with imagefield. Does anyone out there have any strategies about keeping those directories from getting overloaded?
I'm going to try and see if I can figure which images were uploaded for imagefield but are no longer actually linked to content.
Besides that, it's tough. I think I'd have to search through the various body fields for img tags to compile a list of which images are actually being used.

I'm making site in 3 languages. There are gonna be 3 separate forums for each language.
I think it would be good idea to allow registered users of site write comments to site's content and be able to write to any forum under their usernames.
I'm new to programming. Please give me some hint how this could be done.
