I want to make a travel site with categories www.opentravelinfo.com

I want categorize the articles in this way

1) Geo: Continent - Country - State - City

North America
USA
California
Los Angeles
Nevada
....
Canada
Europe
France
Italy
Rome
....

Not sure what has happened but recently I discovered admin/node shows a blank page upon clicking on the 'content' link in admin. Anyone else have this problem or know a fix? Thanks!

So I keep getting the damn welcome to drupal message on my front page, but I have content there - just in the form of a block that is calling to bring in other content. I don't want a node promoted to the front page because it's unnecessary with the block content. Any way to trick Drupal into getting rid of that bloody message?

I have installed CAPTCHA module, but text field "Captcha Validation" is too long (size=60), which ruines site's layout:

<input type="text" maxlength="128" name="edit[captcha_response]" id="edit-captcha_response"  size="60" value="" class="form-text required" />

I searched files for code that makes such string, but in vain.

Does anybody know how to lessen width of this field so site's layout wouldn't be ruined?

And another thing: how can I put CAPTCHA before "Log in" button?

is there a possibility to assign a new user automaticly to another user role.
Every new user should be assigned to a costum role instead to the authenticated user role.
