Post installation

i'm pretty sure that this same question has come up somewhere in this forum, which i really have no clue why i haven't found one...
i'm using flexinode (drupal 4.6) to create event node etc, which has start/end date/time. and flexinode print date/time in, i believe, unix code/format (e.g. 1160816400). if i switch to fleximax, this doesn't happen. also, when i choose to list event node in calendar (though setting start/end date/time through event.module), this doesn't happen. so, this must be something to do with code in flexinode.module.

I currently have Drupal running on my own computer at home (Ubuntu-- apache2.0.55 -- mysql 5.0.22 -- php 5.1.2) and my hard disk is failing.

I have installed the OS and the packages (exact same versions of above) on another computer, and I want to move over the Drupal installation to that folder (the usernames/passwords are the same, the settings of the LAMP are the same as well). I have moved over the Drupal directory.

I understand Drupal uses mysql and consequently the mysql settings need to be moved as well. Could someone please guide me how to accomplish the same?

This is REALLY doing my head in. Just searched this site for 4hrs trying to find a fix so am hating life. I think I understand why it won't display on the bloggers blog list because that list is not a node? But this makes no sense, why would author info not be visible on the main bloggers page and shows in a blog post? If anything it should be the other way around. If anyone can provide me with info it would be greatly appreciated I will even pay for it.

implemented footnotes module with textile style tags stuff.

that works, but its so super weird the formatting that is there by default

so i need to change it to be more like an academic referencing style
- using superscript for the numbers
- having each footnote on its own line
- get rid of all the square brackets

so i modified footnotes.module, found where it would seem to be replacing that stuff
_footnotes_replace_callback_textile()

How do I segment user access according to a variable, for example zip code? I am collecting zip codes upon registration. I would like users to be grouped by zip code. As soon as a user logs in, they are directed to the home page set up for a specific zip code. Users of one zip code only have 'read' permission for content by users of a diff. zip code.

I am sure this is possible but my lack of experience (1 week and growing) prevents me. Any helpful suggestions? Perhaps someone has already done this and would like to help out?

Whenever I or any user creates an audio post, it is always promoted to the front page. Where can I configure this option?
