Hi folks,
I'm a Drupal newbie, but after having developped my site for for 6 months under Joomla and predecessor, I got totally fed up with being limited to what I can and can't do (plus mutliuser blogs was non-existant).
I plunged head first into Drupal as I just *know* it can be my salvation. I've read around and looked up and it's structure is just perfect for me to be able to customise my site the way I want it.
*BUT* I am really having a big headache trying to get a media section organised for the site - the site is a multi-user blog/forum/media (pics/movies etc)/user-created book.... sounds like Drupal is for me. Yet I jsut can't get a good media config set up.
I've tried image/album module, which seemed great, but the album module seems dead and won't work for my 4.7.x isntall.
I've tried acidfree, which does seem to do the job, but 1) I can't stand the "acidfree" module name and it shows up all over the site 2) albums show as [user]'s Album everywhere 3) I can't for the life of me plugin the albums to other bodes (eg I blog from my desktop using Ecto and include an image in teh blog, yet that image goes to /files and not my user album)
I've just tried gallery2, but this is just a simple block and I can't seem to do anything with it outside of gallery2.
Is there a great HOWTO somewhere, am I missing something obvious, or is this just the current milieu for media and Drupal??
