Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

One Problem, Few Questions

I've just installed the latest stable version of Drupal. After that I installed a few modules. They are as follows; adsense, chatroom. The chatroom doesn't work, I should have looked at the bug reports before installing it but since there's no uninstall directions I don't know how to completely remove it. Anyway, my problem isn't related to that I don't think.

I've enabled the 4 themes that come with Drupal by default but as a standard authenticated user I don't see any available in my profile. Is there an access control box that needs to be checked or is something borked?

custom 403 message when a custom 403 page is impossible

So I have a site where I'm keeping the content private from anonymous users.

I want when a 403 error comes up, it offers a login box in place of the standard message. If I place the login box in another page and set that page as the error page as described here, then the, presumably because the page can't be viewed by anonymous users. (I end up getting the number '2' appearing instead.)

So how else can I customize the error message?

files directory on different server

Hi,

first post here, just getting started with Drupal...
I was wondering if there is any possibility of placing the "/files" directory on a different server with a different domain address from the rest of the site...
The issue here is that I've got two different servers:

How Do I create a Page? Newbie Alert!

Just installed 4.7.4 on DreamHost and can't seem to figure out how to create a page. I've created content but when I go to my website all I see is the Index of/ page showing my drupal folder. I've looked all over for instructions on how to create a simple page but have yet to find any. I'm new to web development and want to build a pretty basic static site to start with and add as I learn. If anyone can give some advice or point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.

Thanks in advance!

HOWTO stop javascript files loading on pages which don't use them

Hi,

I've been searching around for an easy way to prevent a modules javascript files from loading on particular pages. For example, I'd like the lightbox javascript for image viewing to only load on paths which begin with /galleries/*. At the moment it loads on all pages, which is kind of annoying since it is a heavy script (around 70k).

Is there a simple way to achieve this?

Thanks!

[Beginner] make a page

Dear,

I have just installed the Drupal to make a simple lab pape.
After configurating the drupal, I can't link to our lab pages to the menu.
(Please visit http://www.kriss.re.kr/~lsjun/drupal/ )

I want to link my HTML files in my PC to the web menu, but I can't find a proper web folder.
How to link the page?

(I am not web programmer.)

Thank you in advance.
