Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

making comments public

I am having a hard time figuring out how to make comments public on my site. That is, how to make them visible to non-members.

Any assistance gratefully received.

Background colour on forms

I have added a page to my site that has a simple form (input box and submit button) for a google search. For some reason, this post's teaser on the front page appears with a grey background. It looks awful - is there some simple reason for this that I am overlooking? They grey background does not appear on the post's own page.

Any ideas?

Setting 'required field' dynamically

I am wondering if it is possible to make some profile fields marked as 'required' dynamically at user registration page. For example, ticking a checkbox marks some fields as 'required'.
Is it possible with profile module, or any other module?

Exporting content to excel or word

Multiple URL Aliases?

Hi all,

I've ported my PHP site over to Drupal - loving it so far. Just a question regarding URL aliases - the doco says that each node can support multiple aliases. However, when I try to do this:

node/20 => articles/canondpp
node/20 => articles/canondpp/index.php

it seems to do a replace when I add the 2nd alias, so I only end up with one.

Active Select not recognizing multiple levels of hierarchy - please help!

I'm using Active Select, but I'm having some issues.

I have a setup with two hidden containers -> the first container has a list of 5 terms, and the second container has a list of hundreds of terms, many of them with numerous children. However, the active select only seems to recognize the highest level of the second container.

I'm not explaining this very well, so please take a look.
