Post installation

I've been playing around with CCK in Drupal 5RC, and I'm a bit confused.

I know there is a module available for CCK in Drupal 4.7.4 that allows you greater control over how content created with CCK is presented, but it appeared to me that there was some control in CCK itself, by assigning weight to all the fields. And it works up to a point -- by assigning weight to a field you create in CCK you can control how it appears when you create content, and all your fields appear in the "create content" area... but it doesn't seem to carry over to when the content is actually published.

I installed the Christmas Snow module, but immediately upon enabling it my response time dropped to about (literally, I am not exaggerating) 4 minutes per mouse click. So I was able to eventally disable it OK by being patient and working verrrrry slooooowly, and immediately performance was back to normal.

This is very odd because when I looked at the "example" linked in the download page, it worked fine (even though it did push my CPU usage sky-high).

Any ideas guys?

Can I change directory ?

i've had pathauto disabled but i'm getting ready to finally enable the module.

i've already created a fair amount of content and i've MANUALLY aliased the majority it. I'm also using the category module and category menu module so i spent a lot of time getting my structure right.

i'm enabling this now because i didn't realize what the pathauto module was until after the fact. And because i will be creating lots of NEW content on the site, my hope is that it will make administering it easier and more automated.

1) Is there anything i need to be concerned about before i use this module in MY category cat_menu module setup?

2a) Will / Can this screw up my EXISTING category_menu menus/structure based on the OLD MANUAL ALIASES?

2b) More importantly will it ACTUALLY UPDATE the OLD MENU structure with the NEW ALIASES or must i go back and manually recreate it?

These questions are asked in regard to the 2 methods one can use when turning on pathauto:

METHOD 1

Create the new pathauto aliases while keeping the old manual ones. Supposedly this is a good method to use in case pathauto screws up it gives you a backup plan. But i'm wondering if this method will update the category container, category and the assigned nodes appropriately.

METHOD 2

Do NOT choose to keep the existing manual aliases when enabling pathauto. I'm assuming this overwrites the existing aliases for each category, container and assinged nodes which should also update the cat menu structure but i'm not certain.

I am trying to add an article for my top page. I have submitted a story and want to add a picture.

I am using the following html code:

My question is :
- is this the right way to add pictures (it obviously isn't because it doesnt work....).
- Where to store the picture in the drupal directory structure
- How to refer to this picture.

Sometime we have an attack of spam (post comments on forum) we use antispam module and capcha (It will be great to have also in comments).

We have noticed that in parallel appear some permissions in blank.

How we can block the table of permissions?
Who can update this table?
There is a script that can modify this table?
What happen with sub-domains?
can the multi-sites, sharing other tables, update the MAIN common permissions table?
There is a security alert?
What are your recommendations?
