Post installation

I'm upgrading my drupal 4.6.5 to 4.7.4 and after a month there is a problem with google search engine result index where google also index the navigation menu and the other blocks. When it was 4.6.5 google only view the article or content on result.

is there any way to only view the content / article on google result index?
i think it's the cause traffic drop to my site.

Hi there, I set the length of trimmed posts to 400 characters, but when someone posts a huge block of text with no breaks, the whole paragraph is posted on the main page until the first page break. Is trimmed posts broken in someway? I could mod the php scripts, but I would rather see if there is another option.

I am using weblinks to create a directory of links in my site. It is a great module but there seem to be a minor problem when acessing the weblinks through Internet explorer I am getting large gap between the header and list of categories(link). I am using spread firefox theme. Is there any way to overcome this problem.

I am posting this for the second time out of sheer desperation.
Is there some sort of protocol people should follow to get assistance when posting about their problems with drupal or it's modules or whatever? I have been a fan of this cms for well over a year before deciding to to use it for my own purposes. I also make sure that I look before I bother to post what might seem to be inane questions.
I know nothing of php, coding, developing or anything of that nature, hence Drupal being such an absolute wonder to me. Also it necessitates such a silly question as: Does anyone at all know how to get thumbnail links to point to the full image instead of the parent node?
So, I post the topic and no less than 23 people visit my site http://malamag.com/mala/ within an 20 minutes. While I understand that it's hard to take a look at the problem when access control does not allow anonymous users to access content, I changed permissions and then a whopping 44 people stopped by.
67 people! Great, right? It would be if it were not for the fact that nary a visitor bothered to return to the forum and post a reply, even one so simple as "Hey Mala, we have no idea what you are talking about or how to fix it." While discussing my disappointment with a friend, she suggested that maybe my content was slightly offensive as I have an indelicate penchant for cursing like a wayward sailor. Maybe she's right. Still I refuse to believe that what I do and say on my personal website has any sort of impact on the fact that there I am experiencing difficulty with the image_assist module.

after pulling my hair getting the thing installed and putting in every module i liked, i am completely lost what to do, after setting the modules up, when i have click on the home button i am getting this:

I am having 2 issues with the event module. It may be because of something I've done, but I don't think so.

1/ I use the event module with the calendar block on the front page, and a month view as the default calendar page. If clicking on the date on the calendar block, you will get a day view, but if clicking on the name of the event in the month view, you will go straight to the node. I'd like to know how to send people to the the day view when clicking on the name of the event.
