When I select an item from the autocomplete drop menu, I still have to submit the form... Does anybody know how to modify an autocompleting form so that selecting an item from the dropdown menu causes the form to be automatically submitted...?

When I go to admin->themes I get this error. I can see new themes that I have added.
All of my directories have 755 permission settings. I changed /inculdes/ to 777; but I still get the same error.
i just installed the newest version of drupal on my pc. the installation worked finde. i wanted to change to clean urls and run the clean urls test when i realized that the admin folder is missing.
im not sure if the folder sould be created during installation or if it is just missing in my zip file (but than a lot of ppl should have this problem).
I am not quite sure how to explain this one but somehow the body text and in some cases the titles of my postings are seeing some strange punctuation. I believe this might have started to happen after upgrading from 4.69 to 4.74 but I am not 100% sure. Basically a title that used to be INDEX: LifeStraw - cleans dirty water anywhere is now suddenly INDEX: LifeStraw‚Ñ¢ cleans dirty water anywhere.
My friends decided to start a news site about our city, Cracow. The problem is that there's a pretty big number of news items (~20 per day, it's a big city) and the front page is getting cluttered. What I proposed is not promoting every piece of news to the FP, but create a block with their titles in the sidebar. Only the most important articles (for example 5 per day) would be promoted.
So I need a block that displays PUBLISHED stories that are NOT promoted to the first page. Does something like that exist already? Maybe something similar, requireing a bit of tweaking?
