Post installation

I installed and I thing setup the file system of my drupal site with no errors on it, except one thing, in my nodes when I insert a image with <img> tag that image don’t appear when the path of the image is some were in the folder like /files/images/image.gif only appear when the image placed on the root of site.
Please, any advice is welcome.

how do I assign multiple taxonomy terms to one blog posting (or page, or story). My site mandates that you choose at least one term, but what if I want more??

I require to modify the search.module so that it supports complex query search. Where the query will consist of many conditions with brackets. For eg:- (A and B) or (C and D).
I am using drupal-4.7.3. Has anyone ever tried doing such a thing for 4.7.3?
Please help me. Any suggestions on this are welcome.

What can I do to help speed up drupal? As of now pages take between 6-12 seconds to load. I need to bring this down to 2-3 MAX.

Ok guys, I tried alot with categories but I am still not getting this. I am using pathauto module and have created categories like microsoft with terms in it as windows. Now when I create a page XP, than the user of it is still www.mysite.com/xp instead of www.mysite.com/microsoft/windows/xp eventhough I am selecting the category and term at the time of creating pages. What's going wrong and how to fix it ?

I have comment moderation turned on, and I get a lot of duplicate comments, presumably from people who think posting the comment didn't work. They don't see the message at the top of the page, because they are redirected to a place at the bottom.
