Drupal is up and running but how do I ...?

IE not working

I am having some issues with internet explorer 7 that I am hoping someone can help me out with. I see on the forums that there are a number of ongoing issues with ie7, but nothing I try is fixing the issue.

I am using the friendselectric theme, but I don't think that is the issue, because if I load the bluemarine theme (the most basic one there is, I think) I still get the same issue (not as bad with friendselectric theme, but it still exists, none-the-less).

First, the minor problem...I have only a 2 column page, with the main content on the left, and blocks on the right hand side. IE displays the blocks on the right hand side "over" the actual size it is. Firefox displays perfectly. Any ideas why this is happening?

Input Needed: Personal Contact Form Problems When Dealing with Anonymous Users

Greetings,

I have recently launched a website for a theological seminary (http://www.wls.wels.net/). I am starting to work out any minor kinks in my layout, css, etc. The school just wanted to get the site out the door and then have me work on such details. Some of the details have to do with the Drupal configuration too.

Here is my issue. We use the profile module to keep a directory of all the faculty and students. We restrict accounts to only students, faculty, and staff of the seminary. We have no need for the general public to log in to our site at this time.

However, I am finding that when someone searches for a professor or a student and wishes to contact them, the are obviously tempted to click the "contact" tab that appears above the profile. This is fine for on-campus users, but for the anonymous user, they get the message "Please login or register to contact ___." What's more, if an anonymous user clicks "register" they get an access denied page! I realize that this problem has been fixed in Drupal 5.0, namely, the "contact" tab isn't visible to the anonymous user. But we can't upgrade the site to 5.0 yet since a few of the contrib modules we use have not yet been updated. I would love to help, but I am not a programmer...just a graphic designer. :-(

My site disappeard overnight. Got the following message. Please help.

Unable to select database

We were able to connect to the MySQL database server (which means your username and password are okay) but not able to select the database.

The MySQL error was: Unknown database 'd60333384'.

Currently, the database is d60333384. The username is u70363792 and the database server is localhost.

Can I add a field to the node creation form?

I have 4.7.3,

I want to add a field to the form that people fill out when they create a node.

I want to add an image upload field, but- this is very important- I don't want the image to show up in the actual article. I just want it to be associated with the data, in the database. So, for example, the img_assist module won't work. Since it puts the image into the actual node contents.

How can I add a field to the node creation form? I'm very good with PHP, thanks,

rw

v5 Module advice - I have some ideas, cant seem to get off the ground...

Hello everyone :-)

I have a couple of ideas for my site I have tried to implement using Drupal 5.

I would like to give users the ability to:

- Add content
- Vote (5 star system) on content
- Bookmark content
- View profiles

Up to now I have used:

- fivestar-5.x-1.3
- views_bookmark-5.x-1.1
- favorite_nodes-5.x-1.x-dev

Along with the Views module to tailor certain views.

To add some of the features.
