Thought i'd put this out into the wilds of the drupal forums as I'm at somewhat of an impasse...
Working on a site, custom theme, dreamhost hosted
The site is around half complete, but loading times are already what I consider unacceptable.
Download devel module, queries are at a marginally respectable 1.5-2.5 sec
However, I've experienced page load times of between 6 and 15 seconds - most being around 8-9 sec
I made 2 new content categories and the forms for submitting them. I created a new menu block for them, because they are related, in the side bar and that is also working. I noted however this menu block is only visible to me the admin, in spite of also enabling it under block configuration to be visible to all user categories.
I did not see aunder Access control what would be connected with this.
How do I make the new content category menu visible to anonymous & authenticated users?
I have installed the excerpt module and it's working great.
However, I can't turn of the teaser for specific node types. Someone made a patch for 4.7 but that doesn't work with the 5.1 module. And I'm not skilled enough at php to make it work for the new version.
For instance: I have the weblinks module installed, and I don't need to have the teaser field enabled for this node type.
something is wrong with module page , when ever i make some changes to it and click save button it become blank page and doesnt show up anything , i have to reopen my website
This is my first php site and I can't figure out exactly what I need to upload to the server. I've exported my database using phpmyadmin and installed it using phpmyadmin on the online server (although the database has a different name that I can't seem to change - how do I get round that?)
Does anyone know how I can upload the files from my drupal site to the server and get it working online? If you know of any good guides that'd be great.
Thanks in advance, sorry if its a stupid question, can't seem to find much help.
I get this message displayed constantly and randomly in the message region on the display of admin pages. The page it appears on loads normally.
"A search was performed for "modules OR jstools OR wforms OR lib OR wforms OR jsonly OR css", but nothing was found. Please use the form below to search all of our site content."
I cannot discern a pattern except it may be more common when my server is busy.
Does anyone recognize the source of this or where I might first look?
