I need to upgrade to Drupal 10 now updates for 9 have ended. The base theme I'm using is Adaptive and doesn't appear to be updated for 10. I suppose first off, will the upgrade likely break the theme?
It's just a couple of pages at the moment. Plan to expand, perhaps to Commerce, but might just as well start from scratch. Music related but doesn't have to be super trendy in style.
I figure from this page that development of Olivero has been ceased.
Recently I have reported what I have found as a significant UX issue in Olivero; the post was quickly closed as "Works as designed" and a user says that no modifications would be made to that theme.
Hello,
I have been using the private file system capability under D9 successfully, making the necessary definitions for placing private files above the web root. I accessed such files in content pages using "/system/files/..." with the respective filenames. The web-root directories are "www" and "w10" respectively. Now, in a parallel D10 test system, I have the problem that I get the following error message:
I have a Drupal 9.5.11 site at hoverfly.uk/hrs. In the Status Report, I had warnings about depreccated themes - Bartik, Classy, Stable.
The appearance of the site relies on Bartik. I resolved this issue by moving to the contrib version of Bartik with the backported Color module. I unistalled Bartik, Classy and Stable through the UI.
I have a website on Drupal 9, but am planning to migrate to another hosting provider in late 2025. My developer informed me that I need to upgrade to Drupal 10, but there are quite a few changes I'd need to make to the backend API I'm using to import content to the website. I'm wondering if it's worth the effort to upgrade knowing that I won't be using the platform anymore in a few years. I'd love to know if there are substantial security or functionality risks to remaining on Drupal 9, or if it makes the most sense to stay on the old platform?
