Upgrading Drupal

Upgrading from 4.4.2 to 4.5.0 and getting a new error that I've not noticed in the forum

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_encode_blob() in /home/ ... /includes/bootstrap.inc on line 147

Any ideas?

just upgraded on a test database and i seem to be missing some menu options, most notably:

administer -> configuration
administer -> accounts
administer -> modules -> *

this takes away a HUGE portion of administration, any idea where these have gone?

I upgraded from 4.4.2 to 4.5.0

No problems upgrading, or accessing my site. But now all the pages have the following error at the top of each page:

warning: key(): Passed variable is not an array or object in /home/saponif/public_html/portal/includes/common.inc on line 482.

Any suggestions how to fix this?

I upgraded all okay, had it running for a couple of days and decided to enable Clean Urls.
As soon as I hit the Save Setting button it all went wrong.
It seems to be re-writing the urls but I get a 404 page when I access any page or try to login.
If put an old type url (q=xx/xx) in the address line it accesses the site (with Access denied as that is how it is configured for visitors) .

Can someone please advise:
1. How to turn off clean urls (is there a db field I can update?)
2. Why it is retunring 404 errors?

I have just upgraded from 4.4.2 to 4.5.0. I had defined n-number of links using the menu module in 4.4.2, Now when i have upgraded to 4.5.0, no links are working for which i had defined the taxanomy.

Is there some other way to upgrade, instead of creating all the links in the menus once again, and defining its url_aliase.

Here, when i view menu, i am able to see all the links in Hierarchy. But without the edit option for the path field

Need help at soonest.

When running the update.php script i get many mysql errors. Do i actually need to update the database at all for 4.5-rc1 - 4.5?

Seems to be a lot of 'duplicate column' errors....?
