Hello, today I saw a couple of posts about some security vulnerabilities in Drupal and thought I'd begin my first upgrade process.
I am currently hosting a Drupal 4.6.6 site and in the video at http://drupal.org/videocasts/upgrading-to-4.7 Matt says to not skip versions when upgrading but he specifically said when going from 4.5.x to 4.7.x, how about when going from 4.6.6 to 4.6.8?? Do I have to install 4.6.7 or will I be OK with just running the update scripts in 4.6.8??
I am the proud owner of a site that has over 15,000 nodes in 103 subsites... yes that's 103 settings.php! Now I want to upgrade the site (I have a testing server to play on first.) Do I seriously need to log into each one as user 0 and then run update.php?!? Has anyone automated this process?
I just upgraded to 4.7, everything works very well.
I have installed the friendselectric theme on my site. Now it is showing "edit primairy links" "edit secondairy links", but wherever i look in the admin menu i don't seem to be able to edit these primairy and secondairy links. Maybe i need to patch something?
I have decided not to try and upgrade a very gnarly civicspace (drupal 4.5) installation, but rather try to just transfer some of the content from my old installation into a fresh new 4.7 install.
I can export tables using phpMyAdmin, and have tried a few experiments with transferring nodes, comments etc. All failing with a error something to the effect that column count does not match table.
Is there an easy way to export content from 4.5 and import into 4.7 using MySQL dumps? Or is some kind of conversion process neccessary?
Hi all!
I run drupal 4.7.1. I'd like upgading to 4.7.2 and I have full control on my Linux server.
How can I use the two patches?
The patches touch only the following files: INSTALL.txt, includes/file.inc, modules/upload.module, modules/taxonomy.module. Is it right?
So If I have hacked other files, the upgrading will not cause disasters, is it right?
plz
